Classification of lithium batteries
1. Lithium batteries are usually classified into two categories according to their internal materials: lithium batteries, lithium batteries, lithium batteries, lithium batteries, lithium batteries and lithium batteries.
Lithium metal batteries: Lithium metal batteries generally use manganese dioxide as cathode material, lithium metal or its alloy metal as negative material, and use non-aqueous electrolyte solution.
Lithium-ion batteries: Lithium-ion batteries generally use lithium alloy metal oxide as cathode material, graphite as negative material, and non-aqueous electrolyte as battery.
Although lithium-metal batteries have high energy density, they can theoretically reach 3860 W/kg. However, because of its unstable nature and unable to charge, it can not be used as a power battery for repeated use. Lithium-ion batteries have been developed as the main power batteries due to their ability to recharge repeatedly. However, due to the different elements, the performance of the cathode material is very different in all aspects, which leads to more disputes about the cathode material route in the industry.
Usually, the most talked about power batteries are lithium iron phosphate batteries, lithium manganate batteries, lithium cobalt batteries and ternary lithium batteries (ternary nickel, cobalt and manganese).
2. It can be divided into two categories according to its purpose:
The first is digital batteries, which are our daily mobile phones, tablets, mobile power supplies and so on. These are digital batteries.
The second is power batteries, namely Tesla, BYD's new energy electric vehicles, and batteries for products such as UAVs. These batteries require a large instantaneous current. Digital batteries can not meet the instantaneous high current, so this kind of batteries is also called high-rate batteries. The price is more expensive than digital batteries.
3. According to the shell material, it can be divided into three categories:
The first category, steel-shell batteries, as the name implies, is the case of steel.
The second type is aluminium-shell batteries. Similarly, the shell is made of aluminium.
Third, polymer batteries, the shell is a polymer material, mostly silver, a few manufacturers do black, the industry has become black.
4. There are also three types according to shape:
First, cylindrical batteries, which use a lot, such as 18650, 26650 and so on. Second, square batteries, which are mostly polymer batteries, because the polymer has good ductility, can make many shapes, the length and width can be adjusted at will, and most digital products now use these batteries.
Third, special-shaped batteries are some strange-shaped batteries. Batteries should also be matched according to the needs of the products. For example, the popular smart wearing products, such as smart bracelets, are ring-shaped, so the batteries are also made into ring-shaped.
